Graduate Java Developer

20k + benefits

If you have a passion and ability for working in and around the Java ecosystem, we have space in our multi-disciplined team of 6 developers. You will take part in a mixture of development for: customer facing commerce websites (own brand Book People, Red House, Puffin Book Club and Puffin Post); extranet CRM system; and web solution to support our distributor network.

Technical Skills: Java / HTML / Javascript

Java Developer

Salary: 20-28k.

Web Developer

20 - 26K + benefits

Whilst we are not actively recruiting for a web developer at present, our requirements often change so we are happy to receive applications throughout the year, to be kept on file.

Joining a team of 6 multi-disciplined developers in Bangor, you could have a strong influence on and bring some flair into the existing technically focused team.

You will aid the development of web content sites, as well as translating design briefs created by our web design team. Work would involve creating and maintaining stylesheets, and image manipulation for both our external customer facing commerce websites (own brand Book People, Red House, Puffin Book Club and Puffin Post) and internal websites. Any experience of working on commerce related sites would be of additional benefit.

Technical Skills:

Essential:HTML / CSS / JSP / strong Javascript & DOM / and Photoshop. You must be passionate about semantic Web Standards. Good knowledge of cross-browser development and security. Eye for design to bring some much needed web skills into the team.

Extremely Useful: Flash.
