Very moral stories -

Excellent school stories of stirring exploits by schoolgirls, all in boarding school which I would have loved as a child. The only things I don't like are the way in which the text is altered to reflect modern currency (these were written in the 40s) which insults the intelligence of children expected to cope with a certain amount of French; and the fifth book, which is a modern knock-off and doesn't taste quite right.
