Designed for beginner readers, Read at Home features all the popular Oxford Reading Tree characters in 12 exciting new stories specially written for parents to support their children's reading at home. These entertaining stories are carefully graded across 4 levels and contain built-in progression and vocabulary repetition throughout. Level 1 is for those children who can recognise their own name, match some words and recognise some letter sounds. These stories have a high degree of patterning and vocabulary repetition with one sentence per page. The series progresses through to Level 4b, for those children who can recognise 30-50 words by sight, read harder sentences with less support, and use sounds to make words. The Read at Home programme is accompanied by a handbook which provides parents with advice, games and activities to stimulate reading.

My 4 year old daughter loves them. She's confident to try and read them on her own. And they are especially good as the reception where she goes to use these set too.

I bought this set for my 4 year old and over the summer before she started school she had mastered level 1 and 2. I also got the matching key word cards and can read most of them already. Very useful to help support your child with their reading.

These are great books. Our four year old is able to read 1 a,b and c by herself and they really improve confidence. She finds the stories amusing which encourages her to read even more. We have to read the questions about the story at the end and do the puzzle page too! A perfect home set.

My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves these books and wants them read over and over again. She really enjoys all the characters and particularly likes the puzzles at the end of the books.
