The author of Pippi Longstocking, Astrid Lindgren, was also responsible for Emil, one of the most lovable rogues in children's fiction! Emil's adventures are hilarious... hens, dogs, little sisters and adults all flee his path. But Emil doesn't mean to be bad, it's just that wherever he is , trouble isn't far behind! Short chapters and black and white illustrations make this set ideal for young readers as they begin to find confidence reading alone.

If you've read every Horrid Henry book going then it time to meet Emil. These books were around when I was a kid decades ago but are still as fresh and funny today. Emil doesn't mean to be naughty, he just has a mischievous streak and can help getting into scrapes, like running his little sister up a flagpole or getting his head stuck in a soup tureen would really recommend these stories for children aged 5-7. Make room for Emil in your house!
