From the other reviews, I believe I am lucky to have got hold of these books! They arrived very quickly and in perfect condition. They were packaged extremely well so the books could not move in the box. I am a Primary school teacher and I can't wait to read all of these stories my class!

I bought these for my 6-year-old daughter for Christmas. She is an avid reader and has read them one after the other. I have had to stop her from walking along the street reading them! I remember reading them myself as a child and being totally engrossed and I am so pleased she is having the same wonderful experience!

Marvellous Medicine ! -

I bought these for my 5 & 6-year-old daughters. Only received them yesterday and we've already read George's Marvellous Medicine, Fantastic Mr Fox and The Magic Finger - still lots of stories left too. We all really enjoy them. They're an absolute bargain - if you can get your hands on some!

Bought these for my Grandson and then they went out of stock!! Have been looking since before Christmas to buy another set as they are brilliant. Suddenly there they were and I know they will be much enjoyed by two little girls. Shame there was no slipcase but... Delivery was unbelievably fast and perfect.

Fantastic set! -

This set - back in the slipcase when I bought them during the summer - is an amazing bargain. I bought these to share at bedtimes with my five-year-old and they have made bedtimes so much more fun for us both. We've read 'The BFG' and 'The Twits', so far, and we're half way through 'The Witches' and she is loving them as much as I did as a child. At a rate of one chapter every other night (Daddy is not allowed to read them when it's his turn to do bedtime.), they should keep us going for a while yet. By the time we finish, she'll be ready to start reading them to herself.

Fantastic, value for money collection -

This is a fantastic collection and my soon to be 8-year-old is thrilled with it. It is great value for money. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the slipcase it arrived in was torn underneath and I had to cellotape it together before giving it to my son. Thanks Book People, I look forward to my son getting stuck in to them.

A lovely set and amazing value, many of the books have the price £6.99 printed on the back so £15.99 for 15 really is a great deal. My children love Roald Dahl and although delivery was on the slow side they are definitely worth the wait, looking forward to getting stuck in.

Purchased for my godson - a reluctant reader! I had the books delivered direct to his home address (what a great option) and he was delighted to receive a large red box in the post. He loved receiving the whole collection and is reading his way through in order. At 8, he wants to do all the reading himself and is enjoying going to bed each night (bit of a bonus!). Intend to borrow them as he finishes. Great service, prompt delivery and well packed.

Purchased the box set, great books, but as usual arrived broken due to oversized postage boxes they send items in. Why not have smaller boxes for smaller items?

I happened upon The Book People quite by chance, searching for these books. The books are a brilliant bargain, and the fact they are not in the slip case, does not detract from them at all - they are all timeless classics. They only took 2 days to arrive and were well-packaged.

Although this set is no longer in a slipcase, the books themselves are still fab and such a brilliant buy. My daughter is 5 and she just loves Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Roald Dahl is such an all-time classic author that I have to be honest and say that I can't wait to sit down with her and read the books that I missed out on reading when I was a child!

No childhood is complete without large doses of the 'Dahl'. I enjoyed these stories as a child and wanted my child to enjoy the wonders of Roald Dahl too. This is an excellent way to do that and we have been working our way through the books - a real bedtime treat. The set is extraordinary value, and a very small price to pay for the works of such a wonderful, literary genius. I have had immense pleasure reading these to my son, and hope that when his reading progresses, he will have the same pleasure. If you have children (or grandchildren), this set is a must!!!

I bought these for my son and was so impressed I got another set as they will make a wondeful gift! Great price and lovely set. Sadly they no longer come in the presentation box. which made them extra special - but still a economical and special gift for someone. My son loves these and we have them all in audio too, which are great!

No doubt this is the best children's classic set. The several thinner books suitable for 5-8 years old. My favourite is Matilda. I read all of them when I was young, now again with my children!

All of Roald Dahl's books are loved by kids, and this set which has all his titles (there's another set for older children) is sure to please any child who loves to read. A great set to own and re-read.
