"Delicious"
I have cooked various cakes from this book (carrot, blueberry etc) and all have turned out brilliantly (and I am by no means an expert). I found the cakes to be enormous... but as they are so delicious, it isn't a problem! I would recommend to anyone who thinks they can't make cakes... the recipes are so simple.

I bought this book a while ago and only had the chance to try 2 recipes before my oven decided to stop working. I can't wait to have it replaced to try many other recipes. Would recommend this book 100%

"Great recipes"
If you love baking then this book is the one for you! I love browsing through this book, the photography entices you to want to get out your bakeware and ingredients to proceed to baking delicious and beautiful-looking cakes and pastries. I have tried quite a few of the cupcake recipes and they have produced good results. The cake method is unusual almost reminiscent of the way you make muffins but works and is effective. The cupcakes have, for me, always turned out well-risen, moist and tasty cakes. Whether you are a novice or an expert baker, I highly recommend that you buy this book, you won't be disappointed. One final point, it is worth mentioning that the cupcake recipe does require that you have a good food mixer...

"Wow!"
I love baking and the recipes in this book are excellent. There are some really healthy option muffins too for the kids - but the hazelnut muffins are to die for!!! I would recommend a decent mixer though - some hand held mixers won't be up to the job :-)

"Baking for everyone"
I run catered chalets and this is the best book on baking I have found (and I have bought a few). I gave all my staff the Hummingbird Bakery book for Christmas and they loved it. Even the Chef whose cakes nobody would eat turned out fantastic cakes. The guests absolutely raved over them especially the Boston Blackout cake.

My brother bought me this for my Xmas and it's got to be the best present he's EVER got for me! Easy to follow recipes with fab results everytime (for me anyway)! Experienced baker or just a beginner this is a fantastic buy! I even bought one for my mother in law because she loved my cakes!

"FANTASTIC"
I am a keen cook especially cakes and saw one of the recipes in a weekend paper and requested the book for Christmas. Recipes are lush. Have made the marshmellow cupcakes which everyone raved about. If you are into baking then this book is a must.

"Brilliant"
I am thoroughly impressed by how simple these recipes are yet how professional looking the results are. Everything I have tried turned out perfectly. I took various cupcakes into work and they were gone within minutes!! Two colleagues have bought the book for themselves and as gifts for friends as a result and my fiance thinks I should open my own shop!!! I would thoroughly recommend it for beginners and seasoned cooks alike.

Love it!

Love this book!
I bought this book after seeing a few recipes in my GF mag. You will not be disappointed. I fancied making every single thing. I've done a few things now and each has turned out perfectly. The cupcakes are to die for.
