"Good introduction to Astronomy" -
This is a handy pocket-sized book on space with commendably clear text and great illustrations. It is fascinating for beginners to Astronomy and the history of space exploration. My only criticisms are that despite this edition being published in 2011 it appears not to have been updated since I suspect 2007. For example there are references to the Mars Exploration Rover 'Spirit' 's status as 'currently traversing Mars' when in fact it has been stuck in a Martian sand-trap since May 2009 and all contact lost since March 2010. Also some information on the Apollo 1 tragedy is inaccurate, bad research I'm afraid! These nit-picks aside I recommend this admirable introduction to a fascinating subject. Very good value for money too!
