What the Ladybird Heard and other stories -

A nice set of books, our 3-year-old loves What the Ladybird Heard. Was a bit disappointed as the item description states the set is boxed, but it is not.

TBP says: Hi James, thanks for the review. We have now removed all reference to the set coming in a box.

Fabulous box set to introduce young readers to the wonder of Julia Donaldson -

Despite not having the glitter of the original version, these books are still a fabulous starter set for young readers. Excellent value for a good quality set of superb books by the brilliant Julia Donaldson. Julia Donaldson is a favourite bedtime read for my children and her rhyming brilliance is at its best in these wonderful stories.

Julia has found a fun way to familiarise children with the wonder of poetry by formatting it into delightful, funny tales which are bound to become classics adored by youngsters for years to come.

I simply cannot rate these books highly enough - they are truly amazing!

Disappointed it's not glittering! -

I bought this set for a todder girl as a birthday present. 3 popular JD hardbacka well worth the price. Just didn't expect it is not the glittering version although otherwise the pictures are same. I remembered my child enjoyed tracing the shinny little ladybird, so this version lost that bit of magic. It's also smaller than the normal version, but it's not a problem. Still great books, great value, but would rather pay more to get the glittering fun.
