We bought this for our 4 year old as we were on holiday over Halloween, and his older brother reads a lot, so we thought stickers could be the answer, and it worked a treat. This kept him engaged for ages - he chose a scene to decorate with stickers then we tear out the relevant sticker page and he was entertained for ages. As well as the stickers for each spooky scene, there were lots of additional stickers at the back which he could stick on plain paper to make his own spooky scenes (or use on party invites etc as suggested in the book).
