Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. The Book People
The Malory Towers books are hugely respected and influential. Written by Enid Blyton, they capture life at a crazy boarding school perfectly and can be enjoyed by Blyton fans over and over again.
The hugely popular Malory Towers books by Enid Blyton have been much-loved favourites since 1946. The series features a magnificent girls’ school, a castle-like building by the sea in Cornwall, and follows young Darrell Rivers as she joins the school at the age of twelve, and attempts to navigate the triumphs and troubles she must inevitably confront.
The protagonist of Malory Towers has a short temper which often lands her in hot water. However, inspired by her encouraging headmistress, Miss Grayling, she is determined to be one of the school’s successes – though things do not always go as planned. Her schoolmates include the lively and mischievous Alicia and Betty, reliable Sally, shy Mary-Lou and the spoilt and vindictive Gwendoline Mary Lacey.
The six Malory Towers books follow the girls through six years of school. Readers can join them in all their trials, triumphs, set-backs and successes, as they work hard, make friends, fall out and overcome personal obstacles.
