We are delighted to announce that the winner of our Bedtime Story Competition 2016, The Moon Man, is now available!
The Moon Man, now a stunning picture book, is available to buy exclusively from Book People's website, with all proceeds going to Action for Children.
This heart-warming story was written by nine-year-old Isabel Harris, a schoolgirl from London who is one of the UK's youngest published authors. Her tale follows two groups of animal friends who view a scarecrow in very different ways. Isabel's story was chosen from over 1,000 entries by an expert judging panel, including representatives from Book People and publisher Little Tiger Press; renowned children's illustrator Ada Grey; author and presenter Fearne Cotton; Shamaila, a Young Ambassador from Action for Children; and TV personality and Action for Children Celebrity Supporter Laura Hamilton.
Isabel was thrilled to receive first prize and was presented with her accolade by Fearne Cotton at an exciting awards ceremony last November. Isabel said: 'I'm really pleased and excited to see my story being made into a proper book. I love reading and writing stories and to know that my book will be read by children all over the country makes me very proud.'
Isabel's spellbinding prose and Ada Grey's charming, dreamlike illustrations make this the perfect book to read to little ones at bedtime. Get your copy today and discover the magic of The Moon Man for yourself.
