Black Friday shopping can be manic, especially if you're braving the shops. It's a lot less stressful to stay in with a cup of tea and browse the offers from the safety of your own home by shopping online. But, even then, making the most of the amazing deals can seem like a mammoth task. So, we've put together a list of top tips for surviving online shopping for Black Friday to help you get prepared for our Book People Black Friday Deals 2018 week starting on Monday the 19th November and ending on Sunday the 25th November (with some offers on Cyber Monday the 26th too). 1. Set up your account before the Black Friday deals start

If you set up your account before the deals start you can load up your online basket and checkout with ease and speed without having to worry about hurrying to fill in your details if you're buying in a rush. If you don't have a Book People account already, you can set one up here.

2. Make a list of the things you're looking for before you start shopping

With Christmas just around the corner (Black Friday is only a month away from Christmas Eve!), our Black Friday deals are the perfect time to get all the gifts you need so make a list of those you have to buy for and any ideas you have for things they may like before you start shopping.

3. Add items you know you definitely want to your Wish List

Adding to tip number two, you can go one step further and do all your browsing before the sales actually start. If you know there's a particular item that someone in your life wants for Christmas, add it to your Wish List so once our deals start you can easily check if there are any discounts on that book or item and order and add it to your basket straight away.

4. Keep your discount codes to hand

Make sure you have our discount codes to hand before you get to check out, so when you're ready to buy the check process is nice and quick.

Online shopping is fun and there's always plenty to look at so you could be there a while - make sure you stay hydrated and keep hanger at bay!

This one may sound obvious but it's easy to forget until you're halfway through your list and your laptop runs out of battery. Start your shopping with your device of choice fully charged and ready to go!

Got time to browse during your commute to work in the morning? Take advantage of that dead time in your day to start browsing.
