Alexander Wilson

Alexander Wilson was born on 24 October, 1893 and died on 4 April, 1963. Before writing he was a spy and MI6 officer and used his experience as a basis for his page-turning novels.

Born in Dover to an Irish mother and English father (who was in the army), he served in the war and published his first novel The Mystery of Tunnel 151 in 1928. He is one of the most popular crime authors of the 1920 and ‘30s.
