David Walliams

David Walliams was born on 20 August, 1971 and was already a huge name in the UK due to his success as a stand-up comedian and his starring role in Little Britain - a BBC show he co-created with comedy partner Matt Lucas.In 2008, he turned his attention towards children’s books and published the bestselling The Boy in the Dress. Inspired by Roald Dahl, David Walliams is now one of the most popular children’s authors in the country and he followed up the success of his debut novel with even more popular books including Demon Dentist, Mr Stink and Billionaire Boy, many of which have been adapted into popular TV adaptations.
