Emily Gravett

A two-times winner of the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal, Emily Gravett is an author and illustrator of many popular children's books. Her stories are full of humour and her artwork is wonderfully interactive and distinctive – she genuinely chewed the dummy that features in her 2005 debut, Wolves.

In 2007, she published Orange Pear Apple Bear and other favourites include Monkey and Me and Little Mouse's Big Book of Fun. She also illustrated Julia Donaldson's Cave Baby, which remains the only one of her books she hasn't written. Born in 1972, Emily has also won the Nestle Children's Book Prize Bronze award. She now lives in Brighton with her family.
