Eric Carle

Eric Carle was born on 25 June, 1929 in Syracuse, New York and is best known for his timeless picture book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

A book that has been translated into 62 languages and that has sold over 52 million copies since being published in 1969, it is considered one of the most-loved children's books of all time. Eric uses collage to create his distinctive artwork and has illustrated over 70 other books. He's actually sold 162 million books over the course of his career.
