Helen MacInnes

A Scottish-American author of espionage novels, Helen MacInnes was born on 7 October, 1907 and died on 20 September, 1985. She studied French and German at the University of Glasgow and graduated in 1928.

Helen worked as a librarian after receiving a diploma in 1931 and moved to New York City in 1937. Her first novel Above Suspicion was published in 1939 and she won the Columbia Prize for Literature in 1966.
