Jacqueline Winspear was born on 30 April, 1955 and was raised in Kent. Her most popular books are the Maisy Dobbs mysteries that explore the aftermath of World War I.
Before turning to writing, she worked in marketing, higher education and academic publishing. Jacqueline emigrated to the United States in 1990 and now lives in the San Francisco bay area. She has also worked as a personal and professional coach and writes for an educational journal.
