Jeffery Deaver

An award-winning writer of crime, mystery and thrillers, Jeffery Daver was born on 6 May, 1950 and is most well-known for his series of books starring the quadriplegic detective Lincoln Rhyme and the NYPD detective Amelia Sachs. In 2011, he was chosen to write a new James Bond novel called Carte Blanche.

Famed for his twists and trick endings, the likes of The Bodies Left Behind, The Steel Kiss and The Bone Collector (adapted into a film in 1999 starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie) rank among Jeffery Deaver’s most popular books. Jeffery worked as a journalist and practised law before becoming an author. His sister, Julie Reece Deaver, is also a writer but she focuses on the young adult market.
