An attorney, politician, activist and the world’s biggest selling author of legal thrillers, John Grisham was born on 8 February, 1955 and has now sold over 275 million copies worldwide. Alongside Tom Clancy and. J.K. Rowling, he is one of only three authors to have sold two million copies of a book (The Firm) on its first printing. The Firm has sold over 7 million copies and was adapted into a 1993 film starring Tom Cruise. Eight further novels have also been adapted.
