Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. The Book People
Josephine Cox was born in Blackburn, one of ten children. She married her husband Ken at sixteen, and when her sons started school she decided to go to college, and then into teaching. She also started writing her first full-length novel. She won the ‘Superwoman of Great Britain’ Award, for which her family had secretly entered her, at the same time as her novel was accepted for publication. Her strong, gritty stories are taken from the tapestry of life. Josephine says, ‘I could never imagine a single day without writing. It’s been that way since as far back as I can remember.’
A feel-good read from Josephine Cox, Divorced and Deadly is packed full of hair-raising escapades and hilarious capers. Newly divorced Ben is back home with his mum, which is just where she wants him. But he soon moves in to a flat with his best mate Dickie and the pair get up to all sorts, plotting future romantic adventures. But Ben discovers being single isn't all it's cracked up to be, as he stumbles from one disaster to another, all under the beady gaze of his ex, who no longer wants him herself, but doesn't want anyone else to have him either! And then there's his co-worker Poppy, who seems very interested... This is a book filled with hilarious events based on true stories that you could not make up!
