Lesley Thomson

Lesley Thomson was born in 1958 and grew up in London before earning an MA at the University of Sussex. Her first novel, the Australian-set Seven Miles From Sydney was published in 1987 and A Kind of Vanishing, the first book in the award-winning Detective’s Daughter serie,s was published in 2007. After winning 2010’s People’s Book Prize for Fiction, it was republished in 2011 with an afterword and an endorsement from Ian Rankin.

Leseley now lives on Lewes with her partner.
