Matt Haig

Matt Haig was born on 3 July, 1975 in Sheffield and studied English and History at the University of Hull. He writes fiction and non-fiction for all ages and Reasons to Stay Alive, his honest and open account of his battles with depression, was a bestseller in 2015.

Matt is also an author of fiction and his books The Radleys and The Humans have been bestsellers. His 2007 children’s book Shadow Forest won the Nestle Children’s Book Prize and his work has been praised by the likes of Patrick Ness, Ian Rankin and Neil Gaiman. An atheist, Matt lives in Brighton with his wife Andrea Semple and their two children.
