Nadine Dorries

A Conservative member of parliament, Nadine Dorries was born on 21 May 1957 in Liverpool. She grew up in a working-class family and worked as both a nurse and medical representative before moving into politics.

In September 2015 it was announced that she had signed a publishing deal for three books and her debut novel, The Four Streets, was published the following April. A bestseller in eBook form, this work of fiction drew hugely on Nadine’s Catholic background and experiences growing up in Merseyside. It is part of a sprawling saga about lives in Liverpool.
