Rachel Allen

Rachel Allen was born on 21 March, 1972 in Dublin and Irish cookbook author Darina Allen is her mother-in-law. She attended the Ballmaloe Cookery School when she was just 18 and then spent time as a caterer in Vancouver before residing in County Cork. .

Her first TV series was broadcast in Ireland in 2004 and she has published a cookbook with every one since. A frequent guest on Saturday Kitchen, Rachel is a familiar figure to foodies and has been described by the BBC as an ‘Irish cooking queen'.
