Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson is the son of Poseidon and faces a number of dangerous battles throughout six books. Written by Rick Riordan, the Percy Jackson books have sold over 30 million copies around the world and been adapted into two Hollywood films starring Logan Lerman and Alexandria Daddario.

Rick Riordan was a teacher before turning to writing and actually tested the first Percy Jackson novel on one of his classes. He has won the Mark Twain Award twice and has also written the Kane Chronicles and adult mystery series, Tres Navarre. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Rick enjoys reading, swimming, video games, playing guitar and travelling. he now lives in Boston with his wife and two sons.
