There is murder and mayhem as a child killer stalks the frozen streets of Aberdeen. After a year off sick, DS Logan McRae returns to work and his first day could not be worse - four year-old David Reid's body has been discovered strangled and mutilated in a ditch. And he's only the first. A serial killer is stalking the city, while the local media are baying for blood. Soon the children's bodies are piling up and time is running out. More children are going to die and Logan could end up joining them. Cold Granite, the first of the Logan McRae novels, is a dark crime thriler from Stuart MacBride, the author of Sawbones.
