Francesca Simon

Born on 23 February, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, British-American author Francesca Simon is best-known for her "Horrid Henry" stories. With more than 50 books published in her career, Francesca Simon won the Children's Book of the Year award in 2008 for Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman and has sold millions of books in her career. Many of her books have been illustrated by Tony Ross. Before becoming an author, she worked as a journalist for the Guardian, Sunday Times and the Daily Telegraph.
