I have collected a fair number of recipe books but this one is the one I use most. I have a large allotment and this is a 'must' - I manage to make an endless supply of goodies!
Lovely pictures. Clear instructions and something a bit different. A really great book. Might have to buy more as Xmas presents so I don't have to lend it to everyone who keeps asking to borrow!
"Forget the Rest" -
This book has a bit of everything and is perfect for the beginner. Forget the rest, this book is the one you need. Easy to follow and excellent value for money! It also explains which foods work the best and explains the general principles of making jams, chutneys, pickles, preserves and more, along with advice on the equipment you will need. Brilliant book!
"A 'must have' book" -
I bought this last year and tried a few of the recipes out for Xmas gifts. All worked first time and very well received. This year so far I've used it to make over 100 jams, jellies and chutneys. Instructions are easy to follow, the recipes are good too. My 'most used' cook book of the year.
As a beginner to the preserving game, this book has been a great help, especially with chutneys, as instead of freezing surplus veggies I have done untold wonders with my damsons apples, toms and courgettes. The beetroot relish seems to have been a favourite, so now I have to order this book for a friend so she cannot pinch mine.
