Suddenly there are no adults, no answers. What would you do? In the blink of an eye, the world changes. The adults vanish without a trace, and those left must do all they can to survive. But everyone's idea of survival is different. Some look after themselves, some look after others, and some will do anything for power...Even kill. For Sam and Astrid, it is a race against time as they try to solve the questions that now dominate their lives...What is the mysterious wall that has encircled the town of Perdido Beach and trapped everyone within? Why have some kids developed strange powers? And can they defeat Caine and his gang of bullies before they turn fifteen and disappear too? It isn't until the world collapses around you that you find out what kind of person you really are. This book offers a chilling portrayal of a world with no rules. When life as you know it ends at 15, everything changes.

No Title -

San Perdido, an ordinary town filled with ordinary people. At least it was, until in an instant, everyone over the age of 14 disappears and throws the town into chaos. Then an invisible forcefield surrounds the town forbidding anyone from getting in, and more importantly, getting out. Trapped with no adults, some kids could only dream of such an event, but for 14-year-old Sam Temple and his friends, they find themselves burdened with the weight of becoming the new adults. To make things worse, time is not on their side. When they turn 15, they too will disappear with possibly no chance of returning. Just when things couldn’t get any worse, kids start to develop powers - powers that can be used for good or evil. Time is running out. Gone is a fast-paced, thrilling novel that would instantly grip anyone who opens it, definitely deserving of 5 stars.

Gone -

A really good book! A really interesting concept, brilliantly written by Michael Grant. I read this in no time at all because the story just draws you in! Would definitely recommend the entire series. I'm on Lies at the moment but definitely not a book for kids - probably suitable for 15/16 and up? Absolutely brilliant.

Gone -

Gone is a superb book. I got the first one for Christmas and I bought the next two when I next could. With twist after twist it leaves you wondering what happens next. Lovers of the Hunger Games should buy it, however this is not a tween book and you should only buy it if you like action or sci-fi or just a good read.

Michael Grant is an amazing writer and the sequels are just as good I love this book!

"Must-Read" -

Best book I've read all year, and I have read some great books (from The Hunger Games, to Morganville Vampire series.) You cannot help reading more and more of this action-packed page turner that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the story. If you have not yet read this book, it is a must buy so get it while you can! I was sad when this book finished but luckily there are more in the series! BUY THIS BOOK, you'll love it!
