This bright and colourful book immediately captured Sophie's attention. There's just the right amount of text on each page to hold a young child's attention for long enough to get to the repeated phrase 'Peekaboo Zoo!' and it only took a couple of pages before Sophie started to recognise this as the prompt to lift the flap on the opposite page. Her favourite page was the lion, where she mastered the art of lifting both 'arms' to see the lion's face underneath. Sophie has been a little rough with the flaps, but nothing a little sticky tape won't solve - so I feel this is better for sharing until she learns to be more gentle!

Hannah really enjoyed turning all the pages to find out what was under each flap. She recognised the animals and liked the bright colours. She did say 'more' at the end of the pages, so I think it is a bit short for someone her age who is inquisitive. I would say this book is perfect from birth until about 18 months. She would like more of a story and different things happening on the pages. Many thanks and we look forward to getting another book to review.
