Without doubt this is one of the best books for babies and toddlers and it has been ever since it was published in 1969. I read and loved this book when I was a child and it's such a joy to read this to Austin and see how much he loves it too. But the best thing about this edition is that it's in board book format so it's much sturdier for babies. Austin loves poking his fingers through all of the holes and it's much more satisfying than the paperback version. Every child should have a copy of this book to grow up with!

This timeless classic has enchanted my one-year-old daughter Molly. She points at the little egg on the leaf at the start of the story and becomes engrossed in poking her fingers through the holes that the Hungry Caterpillar makes as it eats its way through the amazing array of food on each day of the week. Molly follows the caterpillar's progress and smiles each time she turns the page to find the beautiful, bright butterfly at the end of the story.

Sturdy book -

Lovely, neat little book which is a great size for carrying around. The pages are very sturdy and ideal for little hands to turn. Illustrations are lovely with bright colours. Would happily recommend for babies and toddlers.

My 1yr old loves this book. -

Very sturdy board book and cleverly published with little holes that my son loves to poke his fingers through. Good version which travels well as it's quite small.
