Funny poems -

My 4-year-old had this for Christmas and absolutely loved it. He finds the poems hilarious, the only downside is we can't play the CD as a bedtime story because he stays awake to listen to it and join in with his favourites!

Mustard, Custard, Grumble Belly and Gravy -

We listened to this with my 3-, nearly 4-year-old son on a long car journey. And we enjoyed looking at the pictures in the book together when we stopped. He absolutely loved it and was laughing out loud!

To be fair, so did we. A week has passed and we are still talking about the poems and remembering the silly things in them. Michael Rosen has a special talent for capturing the imagination and for being a bit silly - he's great fun. Combined with Quentin Blake's illustrations, it's genius. Go on, let your hair down and buy a copy.

Brilliant! -

My eye was caught by Quentin Blake's illustrations and the strength of the reviews meant I took a brave step of buying poetry for my 5-year-old son as something different from our usual story books. He loved it!

We had to read and reread for over a week before he was prepared to touch anything else at bedtime, and he even took it to school for World Book Day. A wonderful book, some short poems, some long; covering different moods, some laugh out loud and all beautifully illustrated

Can't wait to move on to the CD and hear them read by the expert!

A great purchase for any young literacy fan -

Book very well received by my 5-year-old daughter. She loves language and this book /audio cd is fantastic for her as she is blind. The great bonus is it's read by the author Michael Rosen, so you get to hear the poems read with such passion and with the emphasis that it is intended. She listens intently and desperate to memorise as many as she can! She's only had it 2 days and it's clear she's picking up a passion for poetry already. The best £3.60 I've ever spent :)

My six-year-old granddaughter plays the CD and reads along with it. It is a really lovely book that she thoroughly enjoys.
