Best-loved children's author, the much-missed Judith Kerr, drew on her own childhood experiences to write When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit.
The story follows nine-year-old Anna as she and her family are forced to flee Nazi Germany in secret, without saying goodbye to friends or taking favourite belongings.
Anna's story is sad and touching but full of humour and warmth. Readers aged 9+ who are fans of Michael Morpurgo will enjoy this.
A beautifully written book. My 10-year-old son read it in two parts over a weekend and has handed it over to his cousin to read. Thoroughly recommended.
Really Good -
So um.. I really enjoyed this book and my friend recommended this to me and she said that it was good. I thought it was good too! But I didn't give it 5 stars because there were some tedious parts, but i still enjoyed it. So I give this book a four out of five.
