All of the projects use just half a yard of fabric, making them ideal for using up scraps and oddments left over from other projects or sold off cheaply by your favourite fabric store. All you need is a sewing machine and a basic sewing kit, and in no time at all you'll be making one of the gorgeous projects in the book. There are twenty-six to choose from, including beautiful bags, aprons, a craft caddy for storing your making kit, padded coat hangers, a chicken doorstop, a handy wash bag, a notice board and numerous other gifts and accessories for you, your family and your home. The basic techniques you need to know are explained clearly at the beginning of the book, and every step-by-step project is accompanied by a fabulous photograph of the finished piece, which will not fail to delight and inspire you.
Brilliant book, easy-to-follow instructions, a lovely way to use up odds and ends of fabric scraps. Patterns easy to adapt a very useful book to have in a collection.
What a great book, I have just made a chicken door stop from my daughter's old blue gingham school dress and some red scraps. All by hand in about an hour with no sewing skills. My sister wants the book for Christmas and at this price how can I refuse?
Great ideas for small pieces of fabric -
What a well-presented, useful book. The fabrics used look lovely and what attractive gifts you can make for such a small price and some time. I've made the tissue cases and the oven gloves and adapted the coat hanger tidy to make a linen bag which has proved popular, it takes 1 yard. The next item on my list is the make-up bag. I find the instructions easy to follow and informative. Well done Debbie!
Absolute Gem!! -
A lovely book with really nice projects in. I have made a couple of the headbands and I am now working on the craft caddy!!
Lovely book -
This is the first time I have used this company for books but I will definitely be returning! The books I ordered were a fantastic price which was a bonus & the delivery so quick. I love this book which will help me to use up all my odd bits of fabric. Thank you the Book People. I will be back again soon.
