With a fresh and contemporary voice, John Green, author of Looking for Alaska and Paper Towns, tells the story of a cynical teenage cancer sufferer who unexpectedly falls in love.

The no-holds barred wit, sensitivity and sharp observations of lead character Hazel mean that The Fault in Our Stars will move you to laugh and cry in equal measures as she falls for the charm of Augustus, who she meets at a cancer support group.

Already a teen classic, this profound book is an unforgettable read, starring Divergent's Shailene Woodley and Ansel Engort in the lead roles, that has now been adapted into a major film that has had cinema audiences in tears across the world. This is a special film tie-in edition of the poignant bestseller.

Reader review: The Fault in Our Stars - Paperback - 9780141355078

Hazel has terminal cancer; she knows she is not going to live for long. While Hazel is at her support group she meets Augustus Waters, a cancer survivor. It doesn't take long for them to fall in love. This book gives hope, being diagnosed with cancer doesn't mean give up, Hazel’s story shows that there is always a chance of happiness no matter whether you live with a disease or not. The book is filled with humour as well as sadness and I cried loads at the surprising end to the story. John Green captures the emotions of teenage love exactly, and makes Hazel and Augustus seem so realistic you start to wonder if they are just fictional or not. I loved this book despite its sadness, it’s one of the best I’ve ever read.

The Fault in our stars -

I'm not a teen reader - much older than that, but I loved this book. So engaging. I smiled, I cried and I cried some more. This book is moving without being overly sentimental. I loved it.

One fault with book -

I liked this but felt that the swearing was unnecessary and the age of 13 + years a little under age to read this book. Up to parents but I feel its not a good thing otherwise a excellent read.

Awesome -

This book is soooo awesome. I've read this like 3 times and I NEVER reread books so that says a lot. Despite that this book is a lot different then John Green's other books but still has that awesome ending that makes you think deeply of things, like Looking for Alaska.

The Fault in our Stars -

WOW. It's one of those books that you finish, put down and...just WOW.I cannot recommend it enough. It is captivating from beginning to end. My 12-year-old daughter asked to read it, but given it's contents I thought I should skim through it first. I was hooked immediately, and loved it. I was far more affected by it than she was! A great way for them to learn and understand a few of the sadder things in life, but in such an uplifting manner.

Gutsy teen story -

Excellent story about love, living life, dreams, sadness with a good dollop of wry teen humour. Not just a story about dealing with cancer, but also reminds us all to live life to the full. Loved the feisty Hazel as a strong girl role model. Enjoy this book that will make you laugh, cry & gives inspiration to live life to the full - no matter what it throws at you.
