Winner of the Blue Peter Books Awards' Best Book 2015, The Spy Who Loved School Dinners by Pamela Butchart is a hilarious delight for young readers.
Izzy is really pleased to have been put in charge of the new girl at school. Matilde is French, and Izzy and her friends can't wait to show her their den and its moth, and to help her avoid school dinners (also known as poison). But Matilde LOVES school dinners and even has seconds! And that's when they know. Matilde is a spy and she has come to find out their secrets.
They must stop her before it's TOO LATE!!!
This book is hilarious! This story is about Izzy and her friends who welcome a new French girl, Matilde, to their school. Izzy was put in charge of making Matilde feel comfortable, so they show her all the fun and cool places to hang out including their den. They even help her stay away from the school lunches which are called poison by everyone in school as they are horrid. So when Matilde asks for seconds and seems to love them Izzy and her friends know that this new girl is not what she seems.... She can't be a schoolgirl; she must be a spy.... Izzy sets to find out what this spy wants whatever the danger that may be involved. I really enjoyed this book.
