Become acquainted with India Black, the Madam of Espionage, in this three-book collection of Victorian crime capers!

Written by Carol K. Carr, you'll be thoroughly entertained as you follow the amusing murder mysteries. The first self-titled novel to star India Black finds India keeping her tarts in line and avoiding the police, but when Sir Archibald Latham of the War Office dies of a heart attack while visiting her brothel, the madam finds herself thrust into a deadly game of blackmail and deceit between British and Russian agents...

India Black and the Widow of Windsor finds the Queen under threat from assassination; while India Black and the Gentleman Thief has India's double life of operating a brothel and running espionage in considerable danger of unravelling...

Witty, addictive and full of surprises, the India Black series is historical crime fiction at its finest!

Please note, this collection contains books 1, 2 and 4 of the Madam of Espionage series.

India Black collection -

Didn't enjoy these books very much. I struggled through the first book and really hoped that the main character (India ) would get seen off and replaced by a nicer character. Storylines are a bit different but unbelievable. Also the use of American words like blocks instead of streets doesn't help when reading a book that is set in Victorian London.
