Author of the Cousins' War series (which inspired the hit BBC drama The White Queen) and the internationally bestselling The Other Boleyn Girl, Philippa Gregory's fast-paced and engrossing novels need no introduction. In The King's Curse, her riveting story of Margaret Pole cements her place as the queen of historical fiction.

Margaret Pole, daughter of George, Duke of Clarence, is one of the few surviving members of the Plantagent dynasty after the Wars of the Roses; once proudly carrying her name aloft, she is now the lone bearer of the most-dangerous name in the England...

Vivid and riveting, this Philippa Gregory book is sure to appeal to fans of 2008's The Other Boleyn Girl film adaptation that starred Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Jim Sturgess and Eric Bana, and those who love well-researched, engrossing historical page-turners.

One of Philippa's finest -

OK, I'm biased as Philippa Gregory is one of my favourite authors ;0) As with all her historical novels I raced through this story as I find her writing style draws me in and its like being actually there. I knew nothing about the narrator, Margaret Pole, and I didn't like her character. I've always thought that Henry VIII was a cruel, vindictive person and this novel has increased my utter dislike of him (and that's not a criticism) Its a good example of how Philippa's writing makes the characters so alive, Catherine of Aragon comes across as a gentle soul and Anne Bolyen's use of Princess Mary as a servant and nanny was despicable. Basically, I love this book and it's well worth having in my collection.

The Kings Curse -

Excellent. Weaves in the previous books and the curse placed on the family of the 2 little princes in the tower who were never seen again. If you have read the Cousins' War series, you will understand - a must read.
