Varied and fun -

Really good bargain set of non-fiction just to vary the early reading stage. Beautifully produced and colourful, I agree with the other reviewer that a title page for each book would have been a bonus, but great reading practice at a super price.

Excellent -

These are great books. My son is in year one and still at the learning to read stage. These books have been something new and fresh to read which has been great for him. His confidence has really improved by stepping away from the books we were using to try something different.

We homeschool so I always really appreciate being able to buy good hooks and good prices. Thanks so much.

Variety from the Oxford Reading Tree -

I ordered these on the back of the success so far, in our case, of the Biff, Chip and Kipper phonics readers. We like the familiarity of the characters, though so far they seem less endearing to my child than the Biff, Chip and Kipper stories, nonetheless these non-fiction books will offer variety for sure.

The only thing I found disappointing is that there is no separate title page differentiating between the two books in each volume. You go from the last page of one book into the contents page of the next without a cover, nor blank page, and when I bear in mind that this style of reader not only enhances phonic practise, but is also another opportunity to get a child used to the traditional structure of a book, I think a cover would have been a useful addition here and minimised potential confusion.
