Supporting synthetic phonics learning, this 12-book collection has been especially written to help your children learn how to read.

From the story of a shark in the park to a big pig on a dig, the stories - written by Phil Roxbee Cox and illustrated by Stephen Cartwright - are great fun to read out loud.

With simple sentences, you are encouraged to read these stories with your children, encouraging them to sound out the words as they go. A great way to develop a fundamental reading skill from an early age.

Phonics Readers x 12 PB S/W -

Great books for early readers but, as the picture on the web page showed a slip-in box, I was disappointed to receive the books without the box to store them in. I would have paid a little more to have the box.

Thanks for the review

After checking your order, we believe you have mistaken your purchase with this much older collection from 2007. The collection you purchased does not come with a slipcase, and this is visible on the correct web page for the product under the code PHRD.

Fantastic -

Read this to my baby son over and over. As he gets olderm we can talk about the pictures. Older still, we'll read the books together. Now my son is old enough to read the book to me. The photos and stories are super. Such great value and the pages are thick to it will last for years.

Thanks for this review

These books are proven to inspire a love of reading in children from a very early age. We're glad you're enjoying them.

Excellent ***** -

Bought these books from The Book People quite a while ago and they have been enjoyed by three little boys with a fourth about to be introduced to them.

The illustrations are bold and colourful and very appealing to little ones. The rhyming text is easy to remember and the boys enjoyed the silliness of some of the stories. They loved the stories so much that they soon joined in and very quickly knew them off by heart. They enjoyed looking for the little duck too!

Great books for a great price. Highly recommended.

"Alternative Option" -

It's sad to know that you will not have this back into stock, can you give alternative option of this book set please, thanks.

TBP says: Hi Na, thanks for the feedback. We would recommend entering the product codes TORY for the 24-book Share A Story Collection and SREA for the 24-book Start Reading Collection as good alternatives to this set. Thanks.

"Fantastic" -

We borrowed two of these books from the library today and my 3 year loves them so much that I am online now to buy them all! As my daughter is a December baby she doesn't start nursery until she is almost 4 so wanted to introduce her to phonic type books without pushing her or trying to 'teach' her which they recommend against. These are lovely books and a perfect introduction to phonics. She has plenty of other 'storybooks' to fulfil that purpose. She finds them funny and loves trying to find the ducks too. I would strongly recommend these books.
