Praised by Jonathan Dimbleby, Will Iredale's The Kamikaze Hunters: Fighting for the Pacific is a startling account of the young men who faced up against the suicide pilots of Japan at the tail-end of the Second World War.

As the nation celebrated the end of War, the Allies over on the other side of the world were still in a bitter struggle over who controlled the Pacific - and Japan was now ready to unveil its new form of warfare: the kamikaze.

This book is full of meticulous research and unique personal access to the remaining survivors - providing a first-hand account of what these young men had to go through as they battled men who would rather choose death than see their beloved country be defeated...

The Fleet Air Arm In The War Against Japan -

This is the interesting and little known story of the development of the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm during WW11.

As with other countries' navies, there was little understanding of how aircraft were to develop as a powerful weapon in sea battles and a failure to realise that the day of the battleship were over.

It also describes how the Royal Navy had difficulty in adapting to war in the vast Pacific Ocean and its failure to provide ships that were suited to a tropical climate.
