With a Jon Klassen appeal, Steve Antony is the one to watch. Panda has a tray of doughnuts. Animal after animal tells him the one they want, but it's only when Lemur says 'please' politely that Panda will give any out! A witty and stylish lesson that manners will get you EVERYTHING. Even a trayload of doughnuts. 'A simple morality tale...does the job beautifully.' - The Times (Children's Book of the Week) 'Households with toddlers may find a new family catchphrase. Simple yet funny enough for multiple readings.' - Kirkus
You may read this book the first time and think to yourself 'what a load of rubbish' but your kids will love it. I bought this for my panda-mad daughter. She loves it and after I have read it to her and am busy getting her bed ready, she sits on her chair and reads it out loud (she's 2 so not reading it properly just recalling it from memory) and is just soooo cute telling me which doughnuts she would like to choose and how rude the big whale/shark was.
We especially love the page with 'Pleeeeeease Mr Panda' on it! My 5-year-old loves this book just as much (and often reads it properly to his sister) and it has helped them so much to understand the underlying message of being polite :)
