Especially tailored towards students studying at the lower end of Key Stage 2, this 30-book collection covers a huge range of subjects and will provide help both at home and in the classroom.
Linked to the National Curriculum, the collection comes in a sturdy slipcase and includes workbooks on the core subjects of maths, English and science as well as other important subjects including geography and computer coding. There is also an illustrated dictionary to further aid learning.
Colour coded for ease of use, the books are full of accessible information and break down the tricky subjects into easier, bite-sized snippets of information. This is a must for any child who wants to succeed at school.
I bought this set for my 7-year-old son for Xmas last year. He loves it and reads these books one after another with much interest. Some of them have been useful for learning more about topics he was studying at school (e.g. history and society). He is 8 now, in Year 4 and still chooses these books for his night-time reading because he enjoys them a lot. Information is given in manageable chunks with relevant pictures and encouraging to learn more, just right for his age. I definitely recommend for 7-9-year-olds.

more workbooks than reference -
I wanted a set of reference books so that when topics came up at school we had a bit of info at home to get started with. I put off buying these as there are lots of workbooks which don't interest me so it wasn't such good value but the lure of a set of info finally persuaded me.
Should have trusted my instinct. Half of this set is workbooks. The reference books are pretty thin and haven't held my daughters interest at all though they are a useful source of very basic information. If you are a workbook fan, this is a great set. Otherwise, not really worth the price.
