Written by David Walliams - an author who is proven to know just what kind of buttons to press to get kids giggling - The World's Worst Children introduces a delightfully dreadful cast of characters!

Presented in full colour, the book features five beastly boys and five gruesome girls including Sofia Sofa, a girl who loves TV and is so stuck to the sofa she's turning into one, and Dribbling Drew, a boy whose drool gets him into trouble on a school trip.

A collection of wickedly funny short stories, there's even a special appearance from Raj - a character who has appeared in all of David Walliams' bestselling novels. The tales are accompanied by Tony Ross' hilarious illustrations.

The World's Worst Children -

I had high hopes for this book based on other works by DW, however I found some of the content puerile and of little literary value. The Windy Mindy character was very base indeed. I am all for witty, amusing books with some kind of moral fibre but this is lacking. What makes it worse is that I drew the characters and title on a t-shirt for World Book Day today and only listened to my son read after I had prepared the t-shirt. DW has many good books, this is not one.
