No more drab and dreary muted 1970s shades! -

As someone who loves Orla Kiely prints but not the colours she uses, this book is a dream come true for me. I can now exercise my vision of how those prints look in my imagination and bring them alive in my own colours. What a fantastic opportunity!
There is a pallette of colours printed on the dust cover to give you an idea of how to make them look Orla-approved, but I am completely foregoing that. The print collection comprises a few abstract prints but is largely floral and animal - usually a smaller repeat print followed by a larger print of the same subject. The print names are also given at the bottom of the page - presumably so that if you find something you like, you can more easily find items in that print. It's a nice touch!
The best thing about this book is the removable dust cover, which when removed reveals a blank printed cover that can also be coloured in, giving you the opportunity to make the book truly yours.
I've just ordered a second copy of this book so that I can cut pages out, colour them in, and then send them to family and friends as greetings cards. The paper is good quality, but I'm not sure that felt-tips wouldn't bleed through to the following page. Only one way to find out!
