Cressida Cowell's How to Train Your Dragon series is hugely popular all over the world and has already spawned two massive Dreamworks films. Now, your children can get their hands on the first 10 books following the adventures of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and the ever-faithful Toothless for an unbelievable Book People price.

Hiccup may well have grown up to be the greatest Viking hero who ever lived but it wasn't always like that. When he was young, he wouldn't speak up to his father, Stock the Voist, and he certainly couldn't beat his chief rival, Snotlout, at Bashyball. All that changes when he decides to go into a cave full of dragons to find a pet. It's here where he finds Toothless and the duo begin an incredible journey.

These appealing stories combine action, drama and a real warmth as they focus on Hiccup and his family as they grow up and enjoy all sorts of incredible adventures, battling evil enemies along the way. Your children will laugh, cry and be eagerly reaching for the next book as they work their way through this fantastic collection.

Great value for great stories -

I bought these for my 7-year-old and he just loved them! He has previously watched the Dreamworks films and TV series of the same title, so I was a little worried that he might not like the fact that they are not exactly like those but he dived in and had read the entire set over the space of two months. He enjoyed them so much that quite frequently we caught him reading when he should have been sleeping - a sign of a great book!

Brilliant series -

My 7-year-old loves the series - the characters are engaging and the stories have a great pace. She particularly likes that the stories are in a realistic setting - the heroes are Vikings, Rome is a flourishing civilisation in the south and America is both inhabited and "undiscovered".

I (37 years old) love the series, too. It's clever. Each book works as a stand-alone story, but there is continuity between them in both little ways, as characters meet each other and develop, and in big ways as the storylines support each other and build up to the finale.

I should also add the quality of the box set is great. The books have endured a lot of attention (including from a baby) and no missing pages yet. Highly recommended.

Brilliant -

This is a brilliant series from a fantastic author and way, WAY better than the film adaptations. Appeals to boys, girls and adults. Fast-moving, action-packed stories with genuinely hilarious bits. My favourite is How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse, which has a great twist and profound epilogue. Such a bargain price and comes in a nice presentation box.
