Fun collection -

I don't think these books are as well-known in Canada as they are in the UK. Canadian kids are missing out. These fantastic stories and illustrations are not to be missed. I've saved half of this collection for my kid's Christmas gift but he's pored over the other books. The illustrations are so detailed that my son likes "reading" these books on his own. I've really enjoyed reading them as well.

Winnie the Witch - interesting and funny -

I have three boys, and all three loved these, especially at 4-6 years of age (although the 8-year-old definitely eavesdrops in while pretending not to). The pictures and story have enough going on in them that it's not boring when you read them for the 1000th time... but not too complicated so they don't understand the basic storyline every time. Definitely worth it, and not a 'read once and we're done' type of books.
