It's not an audio book, it's a mini audio play -

I bought the book set to a 7-year-old boy and he couldn't put it down. Then I bought the CDs to my 5-year-old daughter, who just started learning phonics. She loves it and asked me to play it again and again! I have to admit I enjoy it very much as well because it is much more entertaining with various electronic sounds with the drama effect. Language-wise, I am not sure about if it is too childish for the mature kids or not. But the books was my daughters first chapter book. She enjoyed reading the book (or turning the pages) and listening to the CD as the same time.

We also tried other CDs, my daughter enjoys Roald Dahl but not David Walliam (she might be too young for his books, although I love the children's version of Little Britain).

Great for boys who love silliness and adventures -

Our 6-year-old loves these stories. He kept asking for them repeatedly in the car until they'd all been listened to. He's only just six - and I'd say these stories would also be suitable for more mature 5-year-olds - who understand that they shouldn't repeat some of the cheeky insults to adults (the boys in the story do call each other names sometimes - but not on the Horrid Henry kind of scale which is banned in our family!).

Brilliant -

My son - aged 7 - loves these audio books, think it appeals to his wacky sense of humour.

Kids love it -

Ok there is no accounting for children's taste but my 10- and 7-year-old love these books and follow along reading the book listening to the audio. Do I like them, well not so much but they are not written for me but they do no harm and anything that gets my boys reading is good in my book. Both not keen on David Walliams either so thumbs up in my books.
