These elegant yet provocative crime mysteries from bestselling French author Michel Bussi will delight fans of Stieg Larsson, Jo Nesbo and Kathy Reichs.

After the Crash is a compelling read all about the mystery behind a plane crash and its sole survivor. On 22 December, 1980, a plane went down near the Franco-Swiss border and was engulfed in flames. The survivor was a 3-month-old baby and two families - one rich, the other poor - came forward to claim her. This sparked a decades-long investigation as the authorities tried to decide if she was Lyse-Rose or Emilie. Meanwhile, Detective Credule Grand-Duc is all set to end his life but then he comes across a secret that could change everything...

Black Water Lilies finds one murder leading to another and has all kinds of twists revolving around a previously undiscovered Monet masterpiece; and Don't Let Go finds a man's wife going missing. He didn't kill her so why is he acting so guilty?

Gripping thrillers -

I found these books to be attention grabbing page turners. I loved all three but found the twist in Black Water Lilies really surprising and for the first time ever I wanted to reread a book to see what I had missed and why it had surprised me so. After The Crash also had a great ending. Would read more books by this author.

Great find -

An unknown author to me previously - I bought these because someone told me I would like them. How well they know me! I have only read Don't Let Go so far - I found it intriguing, full of twists. Very easy to read, and with very short chapters. I found the footnotes slightly annoying and detracting at first - these are only there to give a translation/explanation of some terms that are in Reunion patois and are only in the first few chapters. But they did not spoil my enjoyment of the book as a whole and I must now find time to read the other two. He is a best selling author in France so I hope there will be further translations of his other books before too long as well.

Good read -

I have only read After the Crash so far but enjoyed it very much, kept me guessing until three quarters of the way through. Well written and looking forward to the other two books.
